Currently I teach Mesh Wreath and Floral Design Basics for Beginners at a local craft retailer.  I will be soon be available to hire for groups and individual workshops for Visual Journaling, which is near and dear to my heart.  I am also developing ideas for Goddess Craft Nights with activities that will help boost your spirit, peace of mind and self-esteem.

I recently had the inspiration to do some body painting and tie it together with up-lifting quotes.  So far I have an Eleanor Roosevelt quote, pictured left and a Leonard Cohen quote.  Both quotes are meaningful to me.

Of course Mrs. Roosevelt was not a shrinking violet.  She said many powerful things that women can hold up as a good example of confidence and strength.

Leonard Cohen seems to have a very keen grasp of love, longing, tenderness and pain.  He is especially adept at stringing together words in a way that make you feel as though no man has ever spoken before or since him while you are reading his words or listening to his songs.  There is a timelessness and a sadness you can't always put your finger on.

I have been in love with faeries and mermaids since the third grade.  I remember looking forward to "Library Day" at my elementary school in Quantico, VA where I would scour the shelves for all things Grimm and fantasy.  If it had a fairytale in it, I had read it at some point during the two years I was at that school.   The enchantment of those imaginative stories of magical beings and far away places stayed with me throughout the years and would later begin collecting stories and illustrations of ethereal creatures.

Eventually I began drawing, then painting within this particular theme.  Then I discovered digital photography and over the years began implementing the skills I'd learned making website graphics and combining them with my photography and drawing and painting skills.   Each image takes many steps and hours to complete.  Beginning with the photo session.  Then sorting through thousands of nature, landscape, fabric and pattern backgrounds for just the right combination of layering.  I enjoy finding the magical and mystical creature that wants to be revealed.  Some of my digital collage work is available at my online store.
